Verbier is a great place to ski if you're also interested in the nightlife. With sophisticated hotels, fine restaurants, and amazing spas, this is a spot for the comfort-seeking skier. Even with Verbier's amenities, there are some good heliski options for the adventurers-at-heart.
Another Swiss ski spot, Zermatt is full of ski-in ski-out restaurants and après-ski bars. Its live music and great views make it another ideal spot for those looking to have fun skiing during the day and going out at night. There are runs of all kinds for skiers and snowboarders of every level. Skiing in Zermatt isn't limited to the winter; the high altitude allows the ski resort to stay open 365 days of the year.
A great Italian mountain, Alagna offers a lot of off-piste, backcountry-like terrain for more advanced and adventurous skiers and boarders. Cross country ski trails are also available for both beginner and
expert cross country skiers. If you prefer to spend your ski trips on the mountain instead of in the bars, this is the place to go.
Kitsbühel is a great spot for aspiring ski racers or those who love to watch racing. Every January, tens of thousands of fans fill this mountain to see the best skiiers in the world attempt the most challenging downhill race slope on the World Cup Circuit. When you're done watching, check out this mountains great black diamond runs. If you plan on visiting Kitsbühel during the races, make sure to book many months in advance.

Val Thorens, a popular ski spot for university students and young adults, is a great balance of good runs and fun nightlife. This is a relaxed, sociable place that is great for those who want to take things at their own pace and enjoy a well-rounded holiday. This is the highest resort in Europe, so get ready for some breathtaking views!
