Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama’s polka dots are catching.  In 2006, Louis Vuitton creative designer Marc Jacobs visited Kusama in Japan, and the two artists became friends.  Kusama is now collaborating with Louis Vuitton to create a new fashion trend.  Shoppers in cities across the world (New York, Paris, Tokyo, Singapore) can find bold, electrifying, polka-dot themed clothes, sunglasses, bags, shoes, jewelry and more in Louis Vuitton boutiques.  At 83, Kusama continues to influence the world—in fact, her reach is spreading.

There is little doubt that Louis Vuitton’s collaboration with Kusama will be a success, as was the fashion house’s collaboration with Japanese artist Takashi Murakami in 2003.  The irrepressible energy of Kusama’s works carry over to Louis Vuitton’s designs, giving their polka-dot products an undeniable allure.
