Brand new watercolor of the female nude

I love the demure pose of this model and I was very pleased with the ephemeral
quality I achieved with the watercolors. The woman appears almost as though this was part of someone's imagination with a dreamy atmosphere to the light.

The Magic of Drawing Musicians

This is a drawing of a jazz musician named Charlie who came to play in my studio for the purposes of creating a series of drawings from a live model. It was inspiring to work to his lyrical music as well as challenging to draw a moving model. here he plays the guitar with his heart breaking melodies. It was very challenging to draw a figure that was in constant motion and flux.

Signed one of a kind pieces, like no other.

Watercolor Painting on CANVAS, ABSTRACT RED POPPY

I have been thrilled with watercolor from the moment the blank canvas arrived to my door via Fedex. I couldn't wait to draw on the canvas with pencil and "play" with the paint. The canvas lived up to my expectations as I floated beautiful washes of watercolors on it. This technique will allow you to display my watercolors without a frame. The canvas is specially prepared for watercolors and the surface has been finished with protective layers of UV coating. The sides are painted with a transparent black watercolor paint.

This painting depicts one of my favorite subjects, the bright red poppy against a golden background. The colors are very complex. Check out the scans for the detail of true color scanning. ( though your monitor may be different)

The Romance of a Perfect Beach Day in Watercolor

CLICK HERE for Original Watercolor Painting Sea Beach Art by SCHULMAN

This is a sunny depiction of a gorgeous beach day in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The beach is Isla Verde. I was drawn to paint this scene because of the brightly colored umbrellas and also because of the couple sitting on the lounge chairs. The woman had beautiful long brown hair and the man looked quite debonair in his touristy hat. I liked the closeness of the couple. This painting is executed in highest grade watercolors with touches of charcoal pencil for added visual interest. This is a signed one of a kind piece.
